RevoDx Flu A / Flu B / RSV / SARS-CoV-2 qPCR Kit
Coronaviruses, influenza viruses and RSV are all enveloped, single-stranded RNA viruses, and all are encapsulated by the nucleoprotein. However, the genomes of these viruses differ in polarity and segmentation. Influenza virus consists of 8 single-stranded negative-sensitive viral RNA segments. SARS-CoV-2 has a single-stranded, non-segmented, positive-sense viral RNA. RSV has a single-stranded, non-segmented, negative-sense viral RNA.
Another key difference between these viruses is that while there is only 1 SARS-CoV-2 strain, influenza virus has 4 different strains (A, B, C and D) and many different subtypes, and RSV has 2 different strains (A and B) and many different subtypes.
Negative results do not preclude HBV infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management decisions. Negative results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information.

RevoDx Flu A / Flu B / RSV / SARS-CoV-2 qPCR Kit is a real-time RT-PCR test intended for the qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleic acid from the Influenza A, Influenza B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and SARS-CoV-2 in human oropharyngeal swab and nasopharyngeal swab specimens from individuals with signs and symptoms of infection who are suspected of Flu or COVID-19.
