RevoDx Dengue Virus Typing qPCR Kit

Dengue is a disease caused by infection with one of four related dengue virus (Dng) serotypes (Dng 1, 2, 3, and 4). It is a single-stranded positive-sense RNA virus transmitted between humans by infected Aedes mosquitoes, primarily Aedes aegypti. Dng infections may be asymptomatic or result in illnesses ranging from mild flu-like symptoms with a rash (dengue fever [DF]) to severe and potentially fatal conditions, including capillary leakage, thrombocytopenia, and sometimes hypovolemic shock (dengue hemorrhagic fever [DHF]). Neurological symptoms associated with dengue have also been reported.
